Mirad - A Boy from Bosnia
మిరాడ్ ఏ బాయ్ ఫ్రం బోస్నియా డ్రామా
Bosnian Civil War 1992-95. Breakup of Yugoslavia gave birth to the worst civil war and refugee crisis in Europe, since World War II.
About 250,000 people died and more than three million people became Refugees. This forms the background of this play, Mirad…A Boy from Bosnia. The play tells us a story of a boy Mirad and his family who had to face the brutalities of civil war and in spite of extreme torture the way they keep their flame of hope alive.
The play is a collage of 14 scenes happening at various places like Holland and Sarajevo, Foca in Bosnia which reveals the war, narrating incidences and expressing the emotions of the sufferers. Only two actors enact different characters like Soldiers, other Sufferers, uncle Djuka, aunt Fazila, Mirad’s Mother and sometimes Mirad himself.
రెండవ ప్రపంచయుద్ధం తరువాత యుగోస్లేవియాలో ఉన్న యూరప్ వలస దేశస్థులు సుమారు 3 బిలియన్ల మంది స్థానికుల అణిచివేతకు గురికావడం చరిత్ర చెబుతుంది. ఈ యూరప్ వలస దేశస్థుల కన్నీటి కష్టాలని ఇతివృత్తంగా తీసుకొని ఈ నాగరిక అనిచివేతకి గురికాబడ్డ మిరాడ్ ఏ బాయ్ ఫ్రం బోస్నియా అనే ఆంగ్ల నాటకం రూపుదిద్దుకుంది. ఈ నాటక ప్రత్యేకత ఏమిటంటే? రెండే రెండు ప్రధాన పాత్రలు సైనికులుగా, మిగతా వలస భాదితులుగా, దిజుకా అంకుల్, ఫోబిలా అన్తీగా ఇలా విభిన్న పాత్రలలో వేయడం.
